Hello everybody!

Well, it’s been another busy and successful summer for Threewaters. The shows have been very well supported by both members and non-members and we have had success with the teams also.

The biggest team success came with the Novice Dressage team in July at St Leonards, who won and qualified for the Championships. The team - Sabine Smith, Maggie Docking, Sara Fletcher and Natalie Levens - all did very well in their sections and Sabine won hers to qualify as an individual as well. Due to work and home commitments they decided not to go to the Championships, but a big well done to all of them.
The Show-jumping and Horse trials teams did not manage to qualify for the Championships this year but nonetheless all represented the riding Club very well. Thank-you and well done to you all.

We have run a few more shows this summer than last and all have been successful. The show in May seems to be growing bigger (and hopefully better!) every year and the One Day Event had 125 entries, the most for several years. The Dressage and other show jumping competitions through the summer have all been busy as well.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the main and sub-committees for all their hard work for Threewaters. There is a huge amount of work goes into running all the competitions, both on the day and the weeks leading up to it, and without our committee members these shows simply would not happen. The committees are always eager for new members to join them, so if you are interested in doing more for your club please contact us. The person to contact for each committee is listed in the programme.

And that leads me onto the winter programme. Thank-you to Cally and Mike for putting it together once again so well. There are many events going on through the winter months, both competitions and training, something to appeal to everyone we hope!
If you have any ideas for events that you’d like to see your riding club put on we welcome all thoughts and the AGM in October is an ideal time to put these ideas forward. We look forward to seeing you all there.

One final thing to mention would be helping at shows. Due to the fact that we are putting on more shows and they are becoming bigger, the duty rota is undergoing a few adjustments. This will probably mean that members may be required to do 2 duties in a year. Without the help of members at shows, the shows will not be able to go ahead.

I hope you all have a good winters competing and I look forward to seeing you all out and about at competitions and training.
Thank-you and Good Luck!
