CAMP INFORMATION FOR June 2019 at Chyverton Park, Zelah
FRIDAY 28tht June – SUNDAY 30
We have booked Chyverton Park again for a long weekend of training and fun, those who have been before know it’s a very relaxed camp with the emphasis on fantastic instruction for all levels. We try to keep SJ lessons to a max of 4 people to a group, and dressage sessions with Clare to a max of 2 to a group, XC lessons are 1.5 hours long.
The first training session begins at 2.00pm on Friday afternoon, you can arrive to settle in from 11.00am but bring a packed lunch. We ride on Saturday morning, Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning, so a total of four sessions. Camp finishes at approximately 2pm on Sunday after lunch and please note that everyone must stay until all the clearing up is done!!!
There will be some entertainment on Friday and Saturday evening, probably a fun quiz and Bingo to get everyone together. In addition, Ellie Wishart has offered Pilates sessions for the riders and weather permitting we will be able to do this outside. Please bring a matt or a waterproof blanket if you would like to join in.
We are planning to arrange a free Weigh Bridge Clinic for your horse. You can find out the weight and body condition score for your horse and will receive a free personalised plan, any nutritional questions will be answered by the Spillers rep.
We are delighted that Andrew Lovell BHSI has been booked again this year. Andrew is one of our regular instructors and is so encouraging for all levels of ability. He himself has competed to very high levels and is always a favourite at camp.
Ellie Wishart has joined the team for this year too. Ellie runs the South Coast Equine Academy and is based in Portsmouth. She has been teaching Show Jumping locally once a month and has a fabulous attitude to training both horse and rider, a real asset to our team. Ellie is also a qualified Pilates instructor and will be giving a Pilates session for riders at some point during camp.
Finally we are welcoming Clare Deithrick back for fantastic flat work sessions. Clare makes dressage fun but manages to get horses and riders working really well at the same time, Clare is a listed dressage judge and competes to Prix St George level.
